Originally from Oak Lawn, IL, Dr. Janet’s first experience in the dental field came while in high school during an opportunity to help a friend’s dad at his local practice in town. He was hooked, and grew to love the perfect blend of science and art that dentistry offered. He attended North Central College in Naperville, IL where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in biochemistry. He went on to receive his dental degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.

My goal is to work together with patients through education and the amazing experience we have to offer here to continue improving health, smiles, and self-esteem in this community.”
In 2018, Dr. Janet relocated nearby to Lodi and has been putting down roots ever since. When not serving patients, Dr. Janet loves to spend time with his wife, their families, running and training for triathlons
As you know, in late 2021 I joined my practice with Mercy Dental Group knowing it would be a good fit to keep our clinic a true family-focused office, especially when it came time for me to cut back and eventually retire. It has been a great partnership and because of that, I’m very excited to share some exciting news with you!
In late summer 2022, Stacey and I will be transitioning into retirement and we could not be more thrilled about your new dentist and hygienist who will be stepping into our places to continue giving you the care you deserve.
Dr. David Janet, our new dentist, reminds me of a younger version of myself, coming here to continue on providing compassionate, community-focused, high-quality dental care. He has a few more years of experience than I had when I first came to practice here in Lodi and I am thankful for our aligned philosophy of care that gives me full confidence that he will provide you with the best dentistry and technology possible.
While I had imagined this letter would be quite emotional to put together after my many years here with you, the truth is, I cannot be more excited to know what good hands I am leaving you in! I feel very blessed to see this clinic continue its family feel. After all, you have each become like family to Stacey, myself, and the entire team over the years. We look forward to this next chapter in our lives of spending more time with the kids and grandkids, traveling, and most certainly look forward to continuing to see you around town as usual, for years to come.
